Review: Kotobukiya Elwing

Elwing sure has an angelic face. Literally, with all those feathers and wings accessories, like that great looking feather necklace. I always have a thing for elves and I must say Elwing does make a pretty nice addition to my collection.
The winged hairband on her head looks mighty cool with all the details.
Blond hair seems like the standard color for all light elves.
I got a feeling that most Shining Wind characters like to go green with their costumes. Elwing's light and dark green combination looks pleasant to the eyes. With a touch of white and some gold trimmings, her costume is absolutely stunning.
There's some decal on the sides of her clothes, with some leaves attached giving it a nice 3D look.
A nice etched leaf pattern on each side of her shoulders.
I can't help but to emphasize on her voluptuous figure. Even if her clothes are a just fit, but her greatness look like they are ready to pop out anytime. Not really sure if that small little ribbon in front could hold everything in place. For Elwing, I guess this is what they call an angel's face and a devil's body.
A nice belt with a wing shaped buckle around her waist. A short green pointy skirt. Most importantly, an exposed belly button.
Elwing's bow seems a bit oversized but the design is great. The color scheme matches well with her outfit.
She has long slender legs befitting of her slim waistline. A little twist to the knee made her legs look so appealing.
A pair of standard ranger boots.
Dark green circular base. Well, Kotobukiya figures are always affordable, so I don't really expect something fancy with it.
Elwing's gorgeous with all the bright colors and beautifully sculpted accessories. I can't really think of why anyone would want to give her a miss.

Review: Kotobukiya Xecty Military Uniform Version

I would say Xecty has the best looking face among all other Shining Wind characters. The color scheme are almost the same as her normal version, it's just they changed her outfit design to a military uniform.
She has that cute strand of hair pointing up like an antenna, even though she has 2 real antennas at the side of her head in place of her usual wings. Nice pointy ears behind those beautifully sculpted bangs.
Dark brown silky hair. Almost looking like dark chocolate. Awfully delicious to look at.
I can somehow relate why Kotobukiya release a military uniform version of Xecty. Obviously, military green goes with military uniforms. Her outfit holds a lot of small minor add-ons like the frills, laces, buttons and string holes. The scarf on her top looks pretty well made. The best thing I can see is her belly button.
There's a crazy amount of straps on her arms. Very uniformly done and extremely detailed on her sleeves.
Same goes for the other side. You will be able to notice that there's even holes on the belt that she's wearing on her arms. These are the quality details which makes me think I had my money well spent.
Xecty comes with a rather big sword. Not much details on it, nothing colorful but a fairly unique design. Just slot it in her hand and it'll stay there as it is.
Very nicely made wrinkles around the waist of her skirt. To top things off, there's even a small little ribbon near it.
Each side of her skirt has a very nice 4 leave clover embroidery on it. Did I mention that her skirt is castoffable?
Her inner skirt looks similiar to her normal version. Guess the only difference is the buckle on her belt. Nice looking stockings too.
Very nice boots, especially those details of the little ribbon knots.
Like all other Shining Wind figures, her base is almost the same. A round simple black base.
Overall, Xecty's quite refreshing to look at with her military outfit. Her pose is somewhat firm, probably to match the military theme. I noticed that everytime there's an alternative version to a character, Kotobukiya does spend extra efforts and details on the quality. She is definitely worth getting.

Review: Kotobukiya Elmina

Shining Wind characters never fail to surprise me. Their characters' design are so awesome and Kotobukiya's figures are always in the affordable range. Now we have Elmina, who is a human mage joining the series and she looks so adorable.
Her hair is well sculpted in a wavy motion.
Elmina looks fantastic when she's looking up. She has very nice detailed red ribbons all around her.
Her overall costume is in a light green, white color combination and some trims of gold.
It's refreshing to see light green all around, I don't see a reason why people shouldn't like green. Unless they're an anti-Hulk fan.
She comes with a staff which you can just slot into her hands. I'm not sure why she's pointing her fingers down but as long as there's no flaws with them, I'm not gonna bother that much.
There's a pink crystal ball at the centre of her staff.
Her cloak's full of shadings and one thing about it, is that it adds some bulkiness to her overall build.
For those who don't wish to hide that cute ribbon at her back, there's an option to display her without her cloak. She looks so much slender without it.
White stockings to her thighs add some cuteness to look at. As you can see, Elmina has some nice shapely legs.
A pair of very simple green boots with heighten platforms.
A small round brown base, the same as Seena's.
With her lacy outfit and cheerful colors, I'm sure she'll make a great addition to anyone's collection.

Review: Kotobukiya Cerestia

This is Cerestia, the Queen of the Elven Kingdom Astraea. A rare beauty at first sight. She gives out a relax and peaceful feeling when you look at her. The symbol on her forehead is very well designed, probably there as a symbol of her royalness.
The feathers on her hair looks great. There are some fine line details and the feathers are really thin in thickness. Her ears are nicely made as well and sometimes I can see the sunlight shining through them.
She has a long, wavy blond hair coming all the way down to her skirt.
It would be inappropriate for a Queen to expose this much of skin, but I prefer my Queen this style anytime anywhere. I like her outfit's design the most among the rest of the Shining Wind figures. The silver ring holding straps of her top in place with gaps inbetween, showing her fair awesome skin.
Her overall dress color fades from a bright yellow to a light green with extra wrinkles for details. I spot her belly button.
Her sleeves are in the same pattern as her top. It really shows off Cerestia's slim and slender built from this angle.
Her white skirt covers enough to show just the right amount of thighs. Makes me wanna rest my head on those soft looking thighs.
The book she comes with is also incrediblely detailed. There are scriptings on it and there are several layers of pages to make it look natural. Quite a good job for something that small.
Cerestia's skirt has fantastic details. The wrinkles are everywhere and the ruffles at the end of the skirt are pretty well made. Her bare feet are hidden underneath her skirt and as you can see, there's a part where her foot is protruding from her skirt.
The Queen's pet, Lassi. I don't know what species this is but looks kind of cute.
Seems to me that this pet is inspired by Dumbo.
Her base is in a green cloth textured circle, probably made to look like a soft grass patch. To me, the texture feels similiar to a pool or snooker table. The perimeter goes according to the length of Cerestia's skirting laying on it.
Cerestia's beautiful, well made and affordable. I really can't think of any reason why anyone doesn't want to get her.
