Review: Kotobukiya EX-Xecty

I've seen her in military uniform, bikini and goddess outfit, but nothing beats being re-designed to an android form. She's slightly bigger than most of my 1/8 scaled figures, not to mention an additional taller and slender proportion.
Emotionless expression is the way to go for androids. Her hair's in another different color from the few other versions I mentioned earlier, purple looks nice. The glossy black areas of her outfit is not exactly black, it's more like a tinted black to imitate transparency. I like that idea, makes my imagination run wild. Anyway, android or not, the color combination of white and pink is definitely for girly girls.
You can see the details of her abdomen and belly button. Yes, there's something else which I didn't mention along the same area, but you probably guessed it. There are many more to her details which you can see here, but I have my eyes fixed somewhere else.
Her sleeves looks great. They even add ruffles to her cuffs area.
Pony tail rocks. She has those guide vanes for her flying and 2 long wings attached to her head. I wonder why they didn't make it fixed, the ball joints don't really help to hold her wings up due to the weight. In substitution of her long pointy ears, long pointy earphones.
Nice mini-skirt. Especially those thighs showing out of them.
Chest front, hips back. Look at that posture.
She has that cute little ribbon behind her waist in the same color theme and she has that cute little something-else below. Yes, she's wearing pantsu.
Those thighs are really irresistable.
Her legs sort of similiar to Gundam legs with all the knee guards and boosters behind the legs. Initially I was thinking that her legs are movable with her joints looking the way they are but somehow they made them fixed.
The details are very realistic for her legs with all the seams. The feet with those robotic high heels.
The inverted V-shaped base is very sturdy but I don't understand why she's wobbling everytime I try to type here. I doubt she'll fall. I don't have much experience with these kinda figures that suspend in the air, so I can't really comment if it's normal for this case.
She's beautiful. The colors are just right. The pose is great and that outfit definitely is one of my favourites.

Review: Kotobukiya Maxima

I was taken by surprise. Right after I did the review on Kaguya, it sort of left an impression on me that Maxima's going to be somewhat or rather similiar with the paintjob and the lack of certain details. But Maxima's quite a flawless figure, being from the same series and company.
She comes with accessories like her katana and a thin piece of card. The card is completely held on by only friction between her two fingers. The card is small but you can see some really nice details over here.

Just a normal long ribbon tying her hair in a pony tail manner. Look, there's earrings too.
Her dress is all black with white printings. It feels like a smooth leather-like texture, not to mention the tribal printings are astonishing. The criss cross front adds some interesting factor to her dress. She's wearing a white lace short dress underneath which is removable if you like. Her pantsu has a very interesting cut-out, which once again I'm not showing. Very well designed.
Her shoulders are covered by the same material as her dress which I don't find covering anything else. It's to show off 2 perfect circles from all sorts of angle. The laces alongside her dress looks great.
Nobody can get enough of that bare back.
The tip of her dress are multiple sharp points with a sword and wings on every one of them, crusader style.
Metallic silver hilt. To put the sword on, you just have to separate the tip and the handle. Nice. On her sword guard you can see a 6-pointed star on it and the blade coming out from the center of it.
The blade of her katana sure is long. On the top of the blade, I could see a cut out nip. At least they could do some sanding there.
Again with the big ribbon on waist concept. Her hair ribbon comes all the way down to her dress with heart-shaped ends.
Nice matching boots. Although there's no details of the ankles as well, but boots are meant to cover the entire feet to the mid shin area, so it's logical that I can't see any ankles here. Convinced?
The same base as Kaguya. Same stage.
Honestly, Maxima is quite a well done figure considering it's produced by Kotobukiya. Accessories to a figure is always a plus point. The paintjob definitely is better for Maxima. I have no problems recommending her.

Review: Kotobukiya Kaguya

First of all, I know nothing about the Shining series. I saw so many of their figures keep coming out, I just thought I should get one.
Well, Kaguya has the aura of a dancer with that outfit of hers. The head dress looks good with many pearl like thingies around her forehead area. Her spirit stone hangs around her neck is translucent purple. Her green hair band coils down from the back of her head to the two ends of her hair.
Big fluffy red ribbon in front of her dress. Looks cute.
Another exposed belly button. High cut dress showing off her thigh. I'll get to that part later.
Basically the white dress she's wearing is actually made of hard plastic. The feeling is a bit like matt glass. Everywhere there's gold trimmings, a very nice combination of colors.
Nice wristband and armband. The patterns are nice, the colors and details are great. Nice finger nails.
The other side. Look at how slim Kaguya is.
Her hair runs to her lower waist, another red ribbon at the back of her head. The lines of her hair are nice, gives a smooth silky look.
I like this part best. Admit it, you're the same. The high cut dress showing her fair smooth leg. Her knee bending slightly inward. It's so long and slender.
The bottom back of her dress with gold repeated triangle patterns around it.
Green leg bangles with sandals. My kind of home girl. But one thing I don't quite understand why is there no nail polish at the tip. Then why bother to show her toes. I can't find her ankles either.
Multi-layered white round base. With nothing on it. With absolutely nothing on it.
She's sweet, tall, fair and fashionable. The paintjob's rough, but I can make do with that. I've always known Kotobukiya's figures are fairly simple, plain but at least the sculpting is nice. Wish they put in more effort to the details of her feet.
